Super friendly staff. Love the atmosphere and decor, as always. Food was so good, warmed our belly's before playing in the mountains. The whole restaurant being open now brightened things up quite a bit making it feel so much more inviting.

Really nice servers, food is unimpressive. They could do so much more, become a place to go for good food.

Dinner was exquisite. Very relaxing atmosphere and a leisurely dinner during a hectic holiday.

My favorite spot to stop on the way down from the mountain. It's a little diner with all sorts of tasty food. The staff are always friendly and there's rarely a wait. The fried zucchini are particularly tasty, as are all the burgers.

Nice respite in the mountains for a cold drink, some hot food or just a sit in the shade on the porch to recuperate.

Nice clean place with welcoming staff; food is very good for rural, mountain fare, and they are very child friendly. Nice rustic decor. Service was fast. Wonderful place to warm up by the fire and fill up after a day in the snow or other adventures in the mountains.

I love the atmosphere of this family owned family restaurant. Their fish was fried perfectly, Cobb salad looked fantastic (but needs avocado), and they have house wine and domestic beer. It really is a great place to come with the family or come for a business meeting. There service was top notch!The new ownership has only been here for about 3 weeks and there are small things they can improve; like having a sauce with fish and chips, bringing out salad dressing with the salad (especially sense they home make most of their dressings: which is awesome), and making sure the beer is nice and cold.

Service was terrible. Slow. Couldn't take orders correctly; one table had to send both orders back, another had to send one order back, both of ours were 50% correct.

Cool place, but my omelette was not good. Jalapenos obviously canned/pickled and very salty, cheese was separating... Look folks, jalapenos are cheap so get some fresh ones and slice/grill them in the bacon grease and they will taste awesome. Shred the cheese.Service was good and friendly.EDIT: The owner responded almost immediately as you can see below. For that reason alone I am adding a star to my original rating because it means they truly care. As far as the cheese goes, it was sliced cheddar, not shredded and... eh...I will eat there again, anyone can have an off day.

This restaurant is fantastic! Huge portion sizes for a good price. Friendly servers and a great rustic atmosphere. If you're traveling on the 38 make a point to stop here for a terrific meal!

The waitress was great dispute how busy it was. But the food was mediocre to say at best. They didn't cook it the asked I had asked and we had to wait an hour even before getting it. Not sure I'll be going back there to eat. Each time I've been there it takes forever and a day even when it's not busy.

I recommend the blt sandwich and a coke

My family has been coming here for years. The food is consistently great and the service is outstanding. Most of all, everyone is very nice and super friendly. We have come for hot meals in the snow and refreshing meals in the heat. We have gotten food packed up to go to take back to our campsite and the orders have always been correct. We have never been disappointed and always look forward to our visits.

The Oaks Restaurant Diner is a nice hidden gem going up California Highway 38 out of the nice family towns of Yucaipa and Mentone in Southern California off of the interstate 10.On the way up to The Oaks Restaurant you'll be passing through the start of a portion of the stunning San Bernardino National forrest!About 10 miles up is the Oaks Restaurant that makes for a nice stop for a hot cup of coffee or cocoa.They have great breakfast ,lunch and dinner meals freshly cooked to order!It's a real treat if it snows to be enjoying your hot beverage and or meal with the wood fired potbelly stove with family,friends or by yourself!

Great food, great service. The bar upstairs is a great place to go and have a cocktail. We had cocktails and dinner here with my mom and it was perfect.

My sister drives by this cute little restaurant all the time from Big Bear, to work. She said she always wanted to eat there so we decided to stop on our way to Knott's Berry Farm. Best decision ever!!! Food was absolutely delicious!! The prices were amazing too. The inside was decorated cute and the waitress was very friendly. We definitely want to return again on our next vacation to California!! =)

This spot is fantastic and broad, the menu was enchanting and the prices were very inexpensive. rapidly, efficient service and very friendly staff members. I recommend this place.

Delicious breakfast choices. Pankakes are huge and the French toast is awesome.Chicken Alfredo, Turkey with mash potatoes, meat loaf are all my favorites.

Great Food and Friendly Service! Our server was very busy and still didn't miss a beat. I had the BLT and my husband had the Beef Dip, we both had the delicious Onion Rings. We wanted dessert but we're way to full. We will stop on our way home from Big Bear for a slice of pie!

Nice of a stopover for breakfast, lunch...nice people country style before getting up into Big Bear on Hwy 38...make sure you take the off hwy tour to Jenks Lake.. beautiful little road through the trees that wines back to the Hwy 38

Awesome place to eat at. Very friendly staff. Sammy the owner was there and ensures everyone has a pleasant experience. I had the chilaquiles they were delicious. I would definitely be back!!!! Try for yourself you wont be disappointed.

Amazing place to eat at!!! It's just so cozy and homely. The pricing is great and the hazelnut coffee is fantastic. I really wish I can dig this place out and take it back to Miami with me. Amazing food and attentive servers.

Last week was our first time in this fine restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last time. We had a good time with the attentive service, with the exceptional cuisine and booze and with the comfortable payment. We will definitely come back soon.

Most of the time - perfect.

The experience was excellent. The ladies working there were very welcoming and honestly I felt right at home there. Had the Ham Steak with scrambled eggs, with two sides of hashbrown and rye bread toasted. Would definently recommend!!!

We were passing through the area and stopped in around 8 AM for breakfast and it was very good. The omlete and big fluffy pancakes were very tasty. They had a cute self serve coffee bar. The service was very very friendly. I'd definitely stop through again if I ever found myself back in the area.
